Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej / Now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to achieve a score of 10 in a competition at the Olympics. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was just six years old. First competing in the national junior championships in Romania in the year 1969, she finished 13th. Then in the year 1970, she was crowned champion. She took home three golds at her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 for communist bloc countries. Between 1973 and 1974, she was the junior champion in all-round competitions. In her first international competition as a senior athlete in the year 1975, she beat out Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion winning four gold medals as well as one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and was the first female in history to dismount the bars in parallel with the double backward salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. The story of Carol Wayne to the world of entertainment began when she was a teenager. Along with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol ventured into the entertainment industry during her teenage years. She started her career performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment programs Ice Capades. The shows were skaters who were performed to music from the stage.
