April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th day of July, began taking lessons on piano and guitar at seven years old. Her interest in writing songs was ignited. When April was 12 when she wrote her first single, Different. In her 14th year April was a big devotee of her time creating and playing with songs. After that, she started taking trips to write with father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April also included additional topics in her hit song"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt with issues such as peer pressure issues or even teenage suicide ideas. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing fan base as a lifestyle blogger and is employed by the renowned Clean Beauty company Ilia. She was born without a left hand and that is what makes her different. But this isn't the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't shy away from the fact that she is disabled however, it doesn't concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. What message is it sending? It's crucial to understand that each of us has numerous faces. Our identities vary and we're much greater than the bodies we wear. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she doesn't wish to be defined by her physical disability. She doesn't want to become an advocate for disabled people who only talks about that. There are a lot of aspects of Lockhart. However, it doesn't affect my day-to-day routine. I continue to do my normal activities and have adjusted to the limitations of my disability. This is a major part of my life, therefore it's important to talk about the subject. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that can last for a long time, and she has been a source of inspiration for this purpose. She admits that she has gone through periods of feeling insecure about her physique and being uncomfortable wearing some clothing types which showed her arms. Today, she wears anything she wants. And she posts pictures on social networks. The journey itself is the most important thing. I'm not sure if you ever arrive she says of self-love. But I think that's for everyone, whatever the source of their anxiety. I believe having friends with you who are aware of you and know your feelings is crucial as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you worried about?
