Actor Katherine Heigl is opening up about how she was born into an environment that was a "white bubble" and how that revelation has affected the way she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview with the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress admitted her body didn't matter to her, however, after having a conversation with her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of how much different they were. Meg was asked whether she was treated differently while they were together with their parents and then the time they were on their own. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise that I had been so ignorant." She confessed that she was frustrated however she was also aware of the need to use this anger to support her daughters. The couple, who are married to Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion and was adopted in 2009.
